Dopo una giornata in attesa del vento si sono conclusi con le classifiche aggiornate alle regate di ieri i Campionati Mondiali Tiger e Wild Cat e i Campionati Europei Hobie Cat 16 divisi nelle 2 flotte Gold e Silver. Complessivamente molto buoni i risultati degli equipaggi della squadra italiana che con i lariani Elia Mazzucchi – Jacopo Lisignoli hanno preso il bronzo nei Campionti del Mondo Wild, con Beatrice Ruggeri – Lorenzo Rossi hanno conquistato l’argento nella Silver Fleet Hobie Cat 16 e con Francesco Porro – Martina Cavallari sono giunti ottavi nella Gold Fleet Hobie Cat 16.
Oggi quarto e ultimo giorno di regata per i Mondiali Tiger e Wild Cat e per gli Europei Hobie Cat 16 suddivisi nelle due flotte Gold e Silver.
Nessuna classe ha disputato regate per mancanza di vento per cui le classifiche sono le stesse alla fine delle regate di ieri.
Nei Wild Cat dopo 12 e 2 scarti vince il mondiale il pluricampione spagnolo Mitch Booth, con a prua il figlio Ruben Booth, seguiti dai francesi Clement Peduzzi – Maxime Blondeaui e a ruota dal nostro equipaggio lariano Elia Mazzucchi – Jacopo Lisignoli.
Nei Tiger, sempre dopo 12 prove e due scarti, vince il Mondiale l’equipaggio sudafricano William Edwards – Douglas Edwards seguito dai sudafricani Blaine Dodds – Peter-Blaine Dodds e dall’altro equipaggio sudafricano Shaun Ferry – Lee Hawkins.
Nei Hobie Cat 16 Gold Fleet vince l’equipaggio francese Cedric Bader – Laurent Bader bissando il successo dello scorso anno in Spagna, seguiti da quello danese Daniel Bjørnholt – Laila Froehlich e da quello tedesco Christopher Hancock – Valerie Vanheukelom. Il primo equipaggio italiano in classifica è quello formato da Francesco Porro – Martina Cavallari in ottava posizione.
Nella Silver Fleet vince l’equipaggio americano Rich McVeigh – Carol McVeigh, otiimo argento l’equipaggio Beatrice Ruggeri – Lorenzo Rossi, seguiti dagli spagnoli Marc Jovani – Rocio Piris e in quarta posizione da Alessandro Rossi – Carlotta Polverini.

Classifica HC 16 Gold Fleet dopo 12 prove (due scarti).

BADER BROTHERS ARE HOBIE 16 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS !
Cédric & Laurent Bader, from France, win the title of 2015 Hobie 16 European champions! Congratulations.
The Hobie Multi-Worlds for Hobie14, Dragoon, Wild Cat and Tiger at Lake Garda were a great success.

The Hobie Multi-Worlds and Hobie 16 Europeans was a spectacular success in terms of numbers of competitors and sailing conditions. In every series there was a variety of conditions ensuring it was a challenge for the sailors in all conditions. Thank you to all the sailors for attending the events. For those at home we had nearly 30,000 views each week on our Facebook page. A special thanks goes to Christopher Hancock and his crew Valerie Vanheukelom for their outstanding sportsmanship. They immediately stopped racing and went to the aid of an injured sailor involved in incident they were not involved in with. While racing is important our sailors safety is always of paramount importance.
There are daily videos uploaded on our YouTube site, photo on a Flickr site that has over 1,000 photos, we have the full results. Also our Facebook has unique information on it.
